Pat’s Pillowcase Ministry is led by Susie Blessing and Billy Krack and meets in memory of Susie’s mother, Pat Blessing, who loved making pillowcases with people. All pillowcases are handmade with love by volunteers and blessed before donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio (RMHC). They’re received by sick children, or by their family members, staying at the house during a hospital treatment. Learn more about the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio here.
Pat’s Pillowcase Ministry meets on the 5th Saturday of the month in the Parlor from 10am-2pm. Volunteers bring snacks to share and sometimes a light lunch is organized. All are welcome to come and have fun supporting this worthwhile cause! Tasks include helping to cut fabric, pinning, sewing, ironing, and even taking out mistakes. You can also support this ministry by donating fun, bright fabric with kid-friendly designs. It takes one yard of fabric to make one pillowcase. Pat’s Pillowcase Ministry also accepts monetary donations for fabric and supplies.
In addition to sewing pillowcases, Pat’s Pillowcase Ministry collects tabs from pop cans, soup cans, cat and dog food cans, etc. This fundraiser supports the Ronald McDonald House Charities. More info>>
